Fuggiremo il riposo
Fuggiremo il sonno
Supereremo in velocità l’alba e la primavera
E prepareremo giorni e stagioni
A misura dei nostri sogni

I punti alla base della manifestazione
DEMONSTRATION SATURDAY MORNING
My town’s HS students have staged a demonstration Saturday morning. We protested to have the university placement tests put back to September, after they had been moved forward to April. This stems from our own personal experience, with us students finding it very tough to study for these placement tests and for our school subjects as well. Also, the last year of our HS makes up for much of one’s own culture, even when one grows up, and changing the tests’ date in what we reckon to be the wrong direction has clearly been seen as a sign of a deterioration of our educational system. That’s why we took to the streets, very few might we be, and we made our voice heard through the streets of my town, strolling around and screaming our youth at the top of our voices (in many cases). But what really made my day? Selfishly speaking, and so in the way one has to speak when analysing his own feelings and needs, I must say that it’s just having protested in itself, at one end of the procession rather than the other, surrounded by people my own age who really put up a benchmark for me to confront myself with. I also had fun a plenty, that’s absolute. But I think that, yes, getting to know all these new people, sharing my youth with them before that is taken away from me by the bitterness of the world, and that’s all too easy and soon sometimes, will make for an experience I will certainly cherish upon enviously in the future. That was wonderful, I will always say of that day.
